Sell places in a class or event with capacity

A class, workshop or tour is not one space per customer: it has a set number of places in the same time slot, and many customers book that slot until it fills up. Capacity mode sells it that way, priced per place, on the Pro plan.

Set a product to capacity

  1. Set the mode to Capacity. On the product under Products, set Booking setup to Capacity. It is available on the Pro plan.
  2. Set places per slot. Enter how many places the slot holds, for example 12 seats in a class or 20 spots on a tour.
  3. Price per place. Set your usual Full day, Half day or Unit rate. Each customer is charged that rate for every place they book, so the total is the rate times the places they take.

How customers book it

A customer picks the slot and how many places they need, and pays for all of them at checkout. The slot stays bookable by other customers until every place is taken, then it shows as full like any other booked time.

Which plan has capacity?

Capacity products are on the Pro plan.

Can I combine capacity with rooms or tiers?

No. Capacity is its own mode: a product is simple, rooms, tiers or capacity, never more than one.
