What stops straight away
The calendar disappears from your product pages and the cart guard stops running, because Shopify switches off an app's blocks the moment it is removed. If you installed with the code snippet instead of the app block, remove the snippet and the script line from your theme yourself. Any Google Calendar connection is disconnected and Booker gives back its access.
What stays for a while
Your bookings, settings and products' booking setup are kept for 48 hours, which is how long Shopify gives an app before it must erase a store's data. Reinstall inside that window and everything is where you left it. After that Shopify sends the erase request and Booker deletes the store's data.
Your products
They are Shopify products and they stay, with the prices and variants Booker created. They simply stop being bookable. Delete or edit them in Shopify as you like.
Passes customers hold
A customer's pass balance is stored on their customer record in Shopify, so it survives an uninstall. Nothing can spend it while Booker is gone. Reinstall and it works again.
Customer data and GDPR
Booker stores what a booking needs: the customer's name, email and phone number against the booking, and the answers to your questions. When Shopify forwards a customer's request to see their data, Booker provides it. When Shopify forwards a request to erase, Booker removes the name, email and phone from that customer's bookings and keeps the time slot itself, so your calendar history stays correct without holding anything personal.
Good to know
Will I lose my bookings history?
Not if you reinstall within 48 hours. After that it is erased, so export anything you want to keep from your Shopify orders first; every paid booking is also an order there.
Do I need to cancel my plan?
No. Uninstalling ends the subscription; Shopify stops billing at the end of the current period.
Where is the privacy policy?
At the bottom of every page of this site, along with the data processing agreement.
