See your whole day, space by space

What you are looking at

Open Planner from the menu and you land on today. A strip across the top puts every space on the same hours, one row each, so you can read the whole day in one go. Underneath, each space gets its own card with what is happening in it. Tap anything on the strip and it opens the matching session below.

Dots are places

   A class shows its places

   A session with twelve places draws twelve dots. Each one fills in as somebody books, and the dashed ones are still on sale. You can see a room filling up without reading a single number.

   Tap a dot for the person

   It names who holds that place, their order, when they booked, how they paid and their phone number. One booking for three places fills three dots and they all belong to the same person.

   A room hired whole is one line

   A space one customer takes at a time has no places to show, so it is a row each: the time, who has it, what they paid and the order.

What each space is

Booker works out your spaces from your products. Products sharing one room appear as a single space, using the room's places, so a yoga class and a pilates class in the same studio show as one room filling up rather than two half-empty ones. A product with no shared room gets a space of its own. Set rooms up on the Shared spaces page.

Notes for the day

Add a note to a whole space or to one session. Heating off in the back room, a cover teacher, somebody's birthday. The note belongs to that day only, so it is gone tomorrow and nobody has to clear it. Notes are for you and your staff, and no customer ever sees one.

Money still to collect

When a customer paid a deposit, the Planner shows what is left in an amber pill against their booking, so whoever is on the desk knows to take the rest before the session starts. Everything else shows what paid for it: a card payment, a prepaid pass, or nothing when it was free.

Printing the day

Print this day asks what you want on paper rather than printing the screen. Choose a register for each class, with a box to tick beside every name and blank lines for anyone who turns up, or one time-ordered list of the whole day for the door. You decide whether to include names, phone numbers, notes, room hires and which spaces at all. Phone numbers are off unless you turn them on, since a register often ends up on a wall.

Picking another day

The arrows move a day at a time. Click the date itself and a month opens with a dot under every day that has something booked, so you can jump straight to a busy one instead of clicking through empty days. Today is outlined and the day you are on is filled in.

What it does not do

The Planner is for reading, not editing. Bookings are still made, moved and cancelled on the Calendar, so there is nothing here to drag by accident. The only thing you change on this page is a note.
